K&L Industries is a family-owned and family-oriented company. We have been in the paving business since 1984, proudly serving the Portland Metropolitan Area, including Oregon City, Gresham, Wilsonville, Tualatin, Hillsboro, Beaverton, Tigard, Sherwood, McMinnville, Vancouver, WA, Battle Ground, WA, and Woodburn, OR.
We built our family business from the ground up, and we bring the same dedication and approach to all our paving projects.
It’s in the Name
K&L Industries began as a business partnership between Keith and Les in 1984. “We went different directions, and that was perfectly fine for both of us,” Keith says. “But I kept the ‘L part,’ because my wife’s name is Lillian. It all worked out really well for all of us.”
Keith married Lillian in 1983, who’s fondly known as “mom of the universe,” shortly before partnering with Les. Lillian says, “I grew up in a family-owned contracting business, so contracting in self-employment and working hard is all that I know.”
These ingredients—family-owned contracting and hard work—would pave the way (pun intended) for K&L’s success for decades to come.
Keith Callaway Jr. is now a leading figure and owner at K&L, where he works hard alongside his family and a dedicated team.
