I work for Emerald Paving and K&L has been One of the best paving companies in Portland area to deal with. I’ve only dealt with Charley Watt and he has been wonderful at getting me estimates and looking at properties for me to bid. If you need fair pricing or good quality work, call them and ask for Charley!

Just had my driveway done during the summer. Crew was amazing. Despite being in the heat, everyone stayed positive and made sure to complete project with excellence. Mainly spoke to one gentleman, George seemed like the lead because he was very knowledgeable. But again very thankful for everyone that took part in my project! Thanks K and L!!

Charlie Watt arrived when scheduled to give us a comprehensive analysis of our roadway, took measurements, performed a walk-through with us and within a few days we had a written bid for our project which included an assessment of any followup maintenance. We were very pleased with his professionalism. There was no high pressure tactics such as: do it now before prices go up, discount expires, opening closes for this year, etc.

I first reached out to K&L Industries in May of 2021 to do a driveway paving job for us. Charley Watt, one of their salesmen came out to look at our job and take some measurements to give us a bid. He was right on time and a very pleasant man to work with. I was impressed with his knowledge and his suggestions he made as he surveyed our property. Their bid was comparable and reasonable with other bids we got. We hired them immediately. Sadly, my husband got diagnosed with cancer and we had to delay our paving.

Summer of 2022, we began building some retaining walls we needed prior to paving. K&L kept in contact with us throughout the whole process checking on our progress. They were quite patient with us as we had to keep putting things off due to my husband’s health issues. We finally set a paving date for late August.

On Friday, August 29, 2022, K&L’s paving prep crew showed up. Paul, Aaron and Michael were a pleasure to work with. They promptly got to work preparing our place for the asphalt to be laid. These guys went above and beyond their normal duties helping us move gravel piles and trim trees. The paving crew showed up promptly Monday morning. I walked the property with their foreman Kyle doing changes to our normal measurements and then they got to work. He and his crew were a delight to work with. Both crews were friendly, very proficient with their time and left our place clean.

We found K&L to be an incredibly personable and caring company, who were exceedingly easy to work with. We are beyond grateful to their staff for their prayers, treating us like family, going above and beyond to get our job done, being flexible and doing an absolutely fabulous job. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking at doing any paving jobs. Thank you, K&L, for a job well done!

Wonderful family oriented company, I could not be more proud of the growth I’ve witnessed in George Rocha Jr and the opportunities K&L creates for him. This company truly cares about its employees and that shines through on each paving job.

Easy to work with. A little aggressive in sales, but worth the results. They showed up when scheduled on day 1 for grading and laying down rock, and day 2 for paving. Freddy, Juan and Jose Campos plus many other guys did a great job preparing for and laying done almost 600’ of new asphalt paving where once there was only a typical OR gravel drive. Great job guys!

Overall amazing experience with everyone on the crew. On time, professional, and amazing quality of work without cutting any corners. Another great experience with K&L Industries. Mark with his many years in the industry did the bid in no time. We were able to sneak in the job during an unlikely dry day. They all worked like a well oiled machine, reck out in the morning and afternoon paving. The job turned out great with some tricky drainage issues. We will definitely use them again whenever needed.

I used to work for K and L, they are an incredible company. I was treated like family, could not be happier about my experience with them.
